MCN grows stronger with SIX new Moderators!

The staff of MCN is proud to announce that we have six new moderators!  Let's all welcome Lamanda2, Legofreak, Daredevil, Pharazon, Damien, and NickGreat to the ranks!

MCN has grown in recent months, and so has our need for Watchers.  While Sticks, UA and I were working well together we were terribly short handed and decided the time had come to recruit.  We searched the lists and came up with the best and brightest, people who were already doing the MOD job without the power or recognition.  These users have shown themselves to be mature individuals ready to handle the responsibility of moderating one of our four sub-forums.  We now have two moderators assigned to each of the "Customization" forums, so if you have a problem specific to one of the forums you will need to contact the correct Mod.  However, don't think that my new mods won't roam over the entire forum..... they all have the authority to Mod in every sub-forum and they're gonna be on the lookout for trouble.

Please familiarize yourself with where each of the mods are assigned:

Mocs MODs: Unknown Artist, Pharazon

Q & A MODs: Deathstickman, Damien

Chat MODs: LegoFreak, Daredevil

Brick Talk MODs: Lamanda2, NickGreat

Obey the new moderators just as you have me, Sticks, UA, and our excellent Administrators.  And now, please meet and greet and give a few congrats for these fine volunteers!

Restructuring the Site for Spring Cleaning

Hello All,

      We are working on cleaning up the site to make it easier for all to read and easier to find what you are looking for, as such some of the threads are changing a bit.  Please take note and post appropriately.

In case the new descriptors aren't enough, here is a bit more and the reasons behind it:

Minifig Moc is now only for finished work, many people don't share WIP and it seems to clutter up the final projects, so we are moving the WIP into Custom Minifig Chat, where they can be discussed and given the attention they need.  Also note No decal designs can be posted in the Minifig Moc section unless they are being posted with the complete finished figure.   Decal designs are not complete MOCs and should go into Custom Minifig Chat as well.

CT,T & Q is the same as it has always been, got a tip, trick, or better way of doing something share it with us, don't know how to do something, ask us here.

Custom Minifig Chat is the place to discuss decal designs, work in progress (WIP) and anything else related to customizing.  This is a catch all thread so if you can't figure out where to post, start here and if it is in the wrong area, someone will try and direct you to the correct spot, but I don't think you can go wrong by posting in this thread as long as it pertains to Minifig customization

Brick Talk is just what it sounds like, want to discuss Lego, Best-lock or even the dreaded Megabloks, talk about it all here. 

Please, as members, do you part to help keep the threads clean, write in clear sentences with a complete thought.  If you are going to abbreviate something make sure it is a WELL known abbreviation.  If you parents or kids, which ever the case may be, don't know the abbreviation DON'T USE IT.  I know this means posting will take an extra minute, but you will find that more people will read and respond to your thread because they will understand what you are communicating.  In this same area, use the spell checker, it is the little blue check mark just above the text input box.  We do have a lot of international members for whom English is a second, third, or even fourth language and they seem to do better than most of the primary English speakers, this speaks poorly for us, so shape up guys.

Help us out, see something crazy happening in a thread, look to the who's on-line, if an Admin or Mod is around drop them a PM about it so it can quickly be taken care of and resolved.  No one here but you, politely leave a note, "hey think that is against the Rules, you might want to talk to the Admins or Mods before you do that again."  Then PM one of the Admins or Mods so we know what is up. 

The Network is only as good as its members.  We are here working for everyone's enjoyment, give us a hand to build this place even better.

Announcing two new voices of MCN - Please welcome Deathstickman and UA as moderators!

Recognizing the growing popularity of MCN as the number of registered users exploded, the need for new moderators became apparent.  When the Administrators were asked for names of candidates the choice was clear..... Deathstickman (Sticks), and Unknown Artist (UA).

Please join me in welcoming our new Moderators!  

Sticks will be the man to go to for any issues you may have regarding the Tips/Techniques/Questions forum, and UA will be in charge of the MOCs section, so if he spots a good MOC you may just end up in the Customs Gallery.  They will both be moderating all of the other forums as well, so do give them the respect they deserve if you see them doing their job.  Listen to them and follow their instructions just as you do for me, Red, Kam, Ramus, and all of the staff here at MCN.

Decal Requests Thread/Forum

Hello all,

      There has recently been several requests to set up a new section for decal requests.  As we have a section that falls along this concept, Custom Minifig Chat, instead of starting a new section we have moved the decals request thread to this section.  You may now post requests in individual threads inside Customs Minifig Chat instead of in the specific thread which we have locked.  So we have heard your request and are trying a solution to fix the situation.  Please restrict decal requests to the Custom Minifig Chat Section.

Correct Forum Posting

Hello All,

     I am growing weary of moving threads that have been incorrectly posted.  By this I mean posted in the wrong forum.  The latest example, some one posted a custom figure in the Site Feedback forum.  Site feedback is to gather feedback about the MCN site, not your latest MOC, idea, or what color to dye your hair.  It is not feedback for you, but feedback you give us so we can improve the place.  Read the forum guides, which appear just below the forum titles.  For you convience: 

READ!  DON'T BE LAZY.  Post appropriately or I will delete your post from now on out.  If I catch you doing it repeatedly I will BAN you from the forums.
